1. TATA NEXON EV

Tata recently launched Nexon EV to the domestic market and it is based on Tata Nexon, the car which has 5 star NCAP rating. The tata Nexon EV is the best in its segment E-SUV. The Tata Nexon EV has been heavily loaded with features. 



The car is packed with a 30.2 kWh battery which gives the maximum power output of 127 hp with 245 Nm of peak torque from its electric motor.

The Nexon EV holds an ARAI certified range of 312 km on a single charge. It can be charged to 80% by its DC charger in just 60 mins but it's AC charger takes 8 hours for it to get fully charged

2. MAHINDRA eKUV100

Mahindra first showcased the eKUV at the 2018 auto expo but was launched after a big gap in February 2020. The car is packed with a 15.9 kWh battery which provides 53 hp at 120 Nm of peak torque but has a range of just 150 km in a single charge and also takes a lot of time to get charged

3. Hyundai Kona Electric

Hyundai Kona Electric was the first electric car introduced in India but the launch got delayed and it was finally launched last year. It is packed with a 39.5 kWh battery which helps its Electric motor to provide 134 hp at 395 Nm of peak torque



It has an ARAI  certified range of 452 km in a single charge and it gets 100% charged in just 6 hours. The Hyundai Kona can do 0-100 KMPH in just 9.7 sec which is pretty good for an E-SUV like Kona. 
The price of Hyundai Kona Electric is a bit high 23.83 lakhs to 24.05 lakhs.

4. Tata Tigor EV

The Tigor EV is Tata's first electric car in the Indian market and it was initially provided to the government as support to Clean India, Green India Movement. The Tigor EV was made available to the public in October 2019.



The Tigor EV is packed with a 21.5 kWh battery paired with a capable electric motor  
Of producing 40 hp at 105 Nm of peak torque which can go for an ARAI certified range of 213 km in a single charge

5. MG ZS EV

After the huge success of Hector, MG is all set to launch MG ZS EV to the domestic market. The ZS is a sole competitor to Hyundai Kona as it has a lot of first-in-segment features and MG offers a lot of things that Hyundai will not be able to provide in the next few years.



The ZS is packed with 44.5 kWh, liquid-cooled IP67 battery paired with permanent magnet synchronous motor pushing out 143hp and 353Nm of peak torque to the front wheels via a single-speed automatic transmission and can do 0-100kph in 8.5 seconds and go for an expected range of 340 km

The price of MG ZS EV is 20.88 lakhs to 23.58 lakhs
