Maruti Suzuki Swift : Best Selling car of 2020 in India

There are various hatchbacks available in the markets but deep down, we all know the one, which is quite popular and loved by most of the Indians, that's why awarded with the Best-selling car of 2020. 
Yes, one and only Swift from Maruti Suzuki.

The popularity of swift is so high and demanded that it always comes in the list top 5 best selling cars of India. Maruti Suzuki Swift has created strong market value as it is the most trustworthy car and has a strong image in the minds of most of the Indians. In the tough competition with its rivals like Tata Tiago, Hyundai Grand i10, Datson GO and Ford Figo, still, there are various reasons to buy Swift.
There are many reasons that hold the success of Swift like:-
  •  It has a very strong brand value in India as it holds 55 percent of the total market share.
  •  Mileage and fuel efficiency is also one of the important reason for car buyers and swift is one step ahead in this from the segment as it diesel model gives a mileage 28.4 kmpl and petrol gives mileage of 22 kmpl(tested by ARAI).
  • It's funky and cutest sporty look make it an attractive car.
  • Well, it easily comes in budget i.e. it is an affordable car with low-cost maintenance. Even it has a good re-sell value as compare to others.

From the data published by JATO dynamics India, 15,789 units of swift hatchbacks were sold by Maruti Suzuki in every month between June 2020 to November 2020. Even from the launch in 2005 to 2018, the Maruti Suzuki sold over 1.8 million cars in the market which is a quite high and really amazing achievement. It was has 60 awards till now and even it also holds the award of the best selling car of 2012, India. 
The current model i.e. the Third generation (launched in 2018)  comes with 1.2 liter naturally aspirated engine mated with both manual and AMT gearbox. It generates power if 81 bhp and 113 nm torque.
The diesel model was discontinued because of new BS6 engine norms.
