Recently we guys showed you the viral images of testing of Tata Altorz Turbo. But now the homegrown automaker Tata has confirmed the launch of Turbocharged Tata Altroz on 13th January, 2021. This car will compete with Hyundai Grand i10 nios turbo and Volkswagen Polo TSI.

Tata Altorz -
Tata launched the Altroz in Indian market in January, 2020 and the car got a good amount of attention by the audience. Altroz is a premium hatchback by Tata. It has got 5 star safety rating from Global NCAP, which is one of the biggest USP of the car. The Altroz is based on TATA's ALFA platform and costs around 5.54 lakhs to 9.09 lakhs(ex-showroom).
Currently, Tata Altroz is powered by a 1.2- litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which produces 83 BHP of power and 113 NM of torque and a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine which produces 90 BHP of power and 200 NM of torque. Both the engines are mated with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Yes, currently no automatic gearbox is available with Tata Altroz which is quite weird in a car which competes in Premium hatchback segment.
Tata Altroz Turbo -
Tata Altroz Turbo is going to be launched on 13th January next year. The Altroz Turbo is going going to be powered with a 1.2-litre 3 cylinder turbocharged petrol engine which is going to be sourced from Tata Nexon Turbo, with minor tweaks for a hatchback. For the first time we will see a 7- speed DCT automatic gearbox gearbox in the Tata Altroz Turbo. The expected price of Tata Altroz Turbo is 7.99 lakhs(ex-showroom) .
