Tata Altroz Turbo Safest Turbo Car - DCT coming?


 Tata Altroz Turbo Coming in 2021 - Tata launched the Altroz in Jan 2020, in the premium hatchback segment. The Altroz competes with market leaders like Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Toyota Glanza, Volkswagen Polo, Honda Jazz and Hyundai I20 which got the 3rd generation launched recently. The Altroz was first shown as the 45X concept at the Auto Expo 2018. The production version of the premium hatchback was first unveiled at the 89th Geneva Motor Show in March 2019.

Why the safest turbo car? - 

The Altroz has the biggest USP is having 5-star safety rating of Global NCAP for adult occupants. Although the car scored only a 3-star rating for child occupants. In term of Safety, Altroz is safest premium hatchback of India. It gets dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and CSC, reverse parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat mounts, Driver and co-driver seatbelt remainder, and impact sensing auto door lock as standard safety features. 

Tata Altroz Engine options -


Currently, Tata is offering two engine options with the Altroz, both of which are BS6 compliant. You can choose between the three-cylinder, 1.2-litre, Revotron motor which produces 86 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque and the four-cylinder,1.5-litre, Revotorq Turbocharged motor which produces 90 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. The two engines are mated with a 5-speed manual transmission and no automatic available right now.

The Tata Altroz Turbo will be powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbo petrol engine which is directly sourced from the Nexon turbo. This engine produces 110 PS of power and 150 Nm of torque. This engine will be mated by five-speed manual transmission and the recent spy shots of the car show that it might also get a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission which will not rather be a dry clutch unit. We expect the Tata Altroz Turbo to be priced around 10 lakhs ex-showroom.

As the Tata Altroz is a premium hatchback, it is loaded with a ton of features. The car gets sporty grille, piano black finished ORVM, integrated spoiler, split taillamps, C- pillar mounted rear door handles, 16-inch laser cut alloy wheels, dual-chamber automatic projector headlamps with LED DRLs, black finished roof, 90-degree opening doors. In the interior the car is offered with a 7.0-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, steering mounted controls, cruise control, blue ambient light, cruise control, automatic climate control AC and 15-litres cooled glove box.
