This situation generally occurs in Metro cities where traffic conditions are pathetic and traffic jams are very common. In such situations when we are stuck in a jam the two most precious things we lose are time and fuel. we here cant discuss the time but what we can discuss is the cost of fuel you lose when you are stuck in a Jam for 1 hour and 20 minutes. Here is a video explaining so.

This video has been uploaded by Arun Panwar on his youtube channel, explaining how an electricity cut in his area gave him this idea to calculate the cost of an idle car's AC. This is an interesting topic for most people who spend a lot of time standing at traffic signals or are stuck in jams.
The car used in this experiment was Maruti Suzuki's premium hatchback Baleno which is powered by a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine which generates about 83 Bhp and 115 NM of torque. So Arun decides to fill the car till brim and drives back to the home where he kept the car's AC on for about 1 hour and then decides to keep the car on AC for extra 20 minutes. So the total time becomes 1 hour 20 minutes, which s average time of a long traffic jam. After that, he drives back to the fuel station and fills the car again till the brim.

The total cost of refueling the car after the experiment was Rs 130. But the car was driven about 8 KM in the same fuel ie 4 km to home and 4 KM back to the fuel station. So the total cost was estimated at around Rs 100, which is very good according to us.
