MG Astor launched at 9.78 lakh

Morris Garages, finally introduced mid size SUV in Indian market by launching MG Astor. The price of this car starts at Rs 9.78 lakhs which goes upto  Rs 16.78 lakh while the price of  ADAS pack will announce later. The MG Astor will offer in four different trim levels :- Style, Super, Smart and Sharp. Let us discuss what the new Mg astor offer us :-

Exterior :-

The exterior of this car comes with LED headlights, front fog lamps, tail lights and 17-inch dual tone alloy wheels. This car offered in 5 colour options :- Glaze Red, Aurora sliver, Candy White, Starry black and Spiced Orange.

Interior and Features :-

The cabin of Astor is fully loaded with features.

It has an interesting features of an AI robot which act as personal assistant and is operated with vocie commands. It follows voice commands and answer them.

The mid size SUV comes with 7-inch digital instrument cluster, 10.1-inch infotainment touchscreen ( which supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Jio e-sim), leatherette upholstery, 6-way electrically adjustable driver seat, 360-degree camera, heated wing mirrors, panoramic sunroof, electronic parking brake and driving modes (Normal, Urban and Dynamic).

Well, in terms of safety, it comes with ADAS (level 2) which is frist in segment. It aslo has saftey features Iike traction control, six airbags, ABS, EBD, brake assist, hill start and more.

The ADAS will only come in top models and operates the function like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Warning, Automatic emergency braking and more.

Engine :-

Mg offer's two petrol engine options in Astor. They are :-

• 1.3-litre turbo engine which produces 140 hp power and 220 Nm torque mated with 6-speed automatic torque converter. 
• 1.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine which produces 110 hp power and 144 Nm torque and mated with 5-speed manual or 8 speed CVT automatic gearbox.

Here, the 1.5 litre engine option mated with CVT is not available in base model i.e. Style trim.
