Fortuner's VIP number plate worth 3 lakhs - worth it?

 Toyota Fortuner is one of the India's best selling SUV and is leading the segment since years. People mark it as a status symbol and luxury car. Toyota launched the Fortuner in India in 2009. Since then the Fortuner has become first choice of everyone who has budget of 35 lakhs because of its good presence on road as well as off road.

After the launch in 2009, Fortuner has been timely given updates by Toyota and currently fortuner is in second generation which was launched in 2015. The Fortuner is soon expected for a facelift in India launching in early 2021. Buying VIP numbers for the car is very common practice in India as people always try to give their car a personalised look. Here we have a Fortuner with Rs 3 lakh number plate.

The video has been uploaded by YouTube vlogger Arun panwar on his YouTube channel. The video shows the Fortuner with VIP number plate. The owner gives his long term review on the Fortuner. He told that the number "PAD 1" was originally registered on a Maruti 800. He bought the 800 for 3 lakhs and transfered the number to his Fortuner. According to him the current value of the number is rs 15 lakh, yes five times of the original value.
